The History
Managers Leisure started in January 2004 as a youth development initiative at the University of Abuja in Nigeria. It was co-founded by two undergrads at that time and managed by a team of other youths that shared the idea of a youth initiative for development.
Later, the initiative grew into a network of motivational minds who inspired youths with career development events through talkshows, discussion forums, training seminars. As at June 2005, the network had a membership of over 30 students within the local university community, in addition to it's member networks in two other universities in Nigeria.
Due to inadequate funding, the network became inactive until October 2007 when the Managers Leisure Blog was created. In the future, the blog would connect with the alumni network and create an online motivational resource community for Nigerian youths.
